 A peaceful, equitable, self-reliant, healthy, and sustainable society.

The “SOCIETY FOR WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT & SUSTAINABILITY – SHRISTI” is a national, nongovernmental organization run by a group of women with divers expertise. This is registered at the Kathmandu District Administration Office of Nepal Government under the Social Act 2034, and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council . 

The aspiration of the SHRISTI is to empower, capacitate and organize women, children and marginalised and deprived peoples in order to create a peaceful, dynamic, self reliant, equitable and sustainable society by making them  socio-economic, education, health, protection, livelihood programs for their sustainable development.

What We Do

— Empowerment Programs

We empower marginalized women through vocational training programs, including sewing, cutting, and bakery skills, fostering entrepreneurship and economic independence.

— Children and Youth

We prioritize children’s well-being with interactive programs and art competitions, alongside comprehensive training for parents and educators on child-sensitive parenting practices within local schools.

— Health Initiatives

We organize health camps, conduct awareness campaigns on issues like domestic violence and sexual health, and advocate for gender-responsive budgeting to ensure equitable healthcare access

— Human Rights Advocacy

Through platforms like the Human Rights National Magna Meets, we advocate for policy reforms and raise awareness on human rights violations, empowering communities to demand justice and accountability.

— Disaster Relief

During times of crisis, we provide essential relief materials to communities affected by natural disasters like earthquakes and floods, ensuring immediate support and long-term recovery.

06.

— Sustainable Development

We promote sustainable practices by advocating for biodiversity conservation, researching climate change impacts, and leading initiatives to reduce plastic usage, safeguarding natural resources for future generations.
